The Santa Cruz Plunge, also known as the Natatorium, was a massive indoor swimming facility built in 1907 on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, designed as one of the largest heated saltwater pools on the West Coast.

Filled daily with ocean water pumped in from Monterey Bay and warmed for comfort, it quickly became a popular attraction where visitors could swim, relax, and watch elaborate “Water Carnival” performances featuring divers, swimmers, and entertainers.

With its grand arched interior and lively atmosphere, the Plunge functioned as both a recreational space and a major social hub for decades before eventually closing in 1963, after which the site was transformed into amusement attractions that still exist on the Boardwalk today.

Everyone needs a cozy go-to hoodie to curl up in, so go for one that's soft, smooth, and stylish. It's the perfect choice for cooler evenings!
