Our History

Lost Cruz was born from a simple belief: every place has stories worth remembering.

Santa Cruz is famous for its beaches, surf culture, redwood forests, and iconic Boardwalk, but many of the people, businesses, landmarks, and moments that shaped the county's identity have gradually faded from public memory. As the city evolved, countless pieces of local history were left behind, hidden beneath the modern Santa Cruz we know today.

We created Lost Cruz to uncover those forgotten stories and bring them back into the spotlight. Through research, historical photographs, local archives, and community memories, we explore the people and places that helped define Santa Cruz throughout the decades.

What began as a passion for local history quickly evolved into a brand with a purpose. Rather than allowing these stories to remain buried in archives, we transform them into meaningful designs that people can wear, collect, and share. Every shirt, hat, sticker, and accessory serves as a conversation starter and a connection to Santa Cruz's rich heritage.

Our name, Lost Cruz, reflects our mission: finding what has been lost and helping others rediscover it.

Today, we continue to celebrate Santa Cruz's past while supporting its future. Through our commitment to historical preservation and community awareness, we donate a portion of our profits to organizations dedicated to protecting and promoting the history of Santa Cruz County.
