The Teacup was a legendary Chinese restaurant and cocktail lounge that stood in downtown Santa Cruz from 1946 to 1989. Located in the iconic Flatiron Building on Pacific Avenue, it became known for its signature red staircase entrance and upstairs bar, where locals gathered for decades.
A true piece of Santa Cruz history, the Teacup closed after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, but its legacy lives on as one of the city’s most beloved and unforgettable dining spots.
